Event Description:
The 2016 James J. Hill Days parade is on Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. and we want YOU to be a part of it.  This parade is more than big floats and marching bands...  It's a reflection of the Wayzata area community. The parade is a great promotional opportunity for Chamber businesses, local charities, civic groups, etc.  Participants in the parade will be seen by thousands of parade-goers. All you need is a little creativity and some creative minds!

This year's parade will be limited to 75 floats.  Priority of unit order will be given to Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce members and sponsors.  If interested in membership, please contact Nancy Pilhofer, Director of Membership Services via e-mail:  npilhofer@wayzatachamber.com.

Interested in sponsoring a parade unit?  This has become a popular way for businesses to become involved in the parade.  It works out nicely because many parade groups (such as horse groups, marching bands, etc.) charge a fee for parade appearances.  As a sponsor, you would cover the cost of a group.  In turn, that group would carry your company's banner or hand out materials.

Parade check-in will be on Sunday, September 11th at 12:30 p.m. at the lower lot of Wells Fargo Bank.  Check-in closes promtly at 1:30 p.m. The parade begins at 2 p.m. sharp.  Details of the line-up will be mailed to you the beginning of September.

Participants Agree To: Abide by the rules and regulations as specified by the event director. By entering in and participation in the event, the applicant voluntarily and knowingly releases and discharges the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce, the City of Wayzata, their employees, representatives, volunteers, agents, officers and directors from any and all claims whatsoever, arising from any act, negligence or tort on the part of any person, in, upon, or about the assigned premises and the grounds which may arise from the James J. Hill Days event. No refund of fees due to adverse weather. Entry fees will be non-refundable after August 15, 2016.
