Name: Sleep out or sleep in for Interfaith's Sleep Out campaign
Date: November 10, 2018 - November 11, 2018
Event Description:
The Sleep Out is our community’s warm-hearted cold weather tradition — it’s our way to address poverty and work toward our vision of a community where everyone thrives. Thanks for showing your support of our neighbors and attending or participating in the 2018 Sleep Out events! The Community-wide Sleep Out is being held on Saturday, Nov. 10 but we encourage people to participate all season long.

In 2018 we are asking folks to gather family, friends or neighbors together to sleep outside in cars, tents or boxes or crash on couches and carpets for a night. During this one night, Interfaith gives you a guide with three true stories of families who struggled with homelessness in this community. The guide includes conversation prompts for kids and adults about what it might feel like to live in poverty in suburban communities where families often “double up” – sleep in tight quarters with multiple families under one roof or struggle with homelessness.
Sleep Out and Bedless Night participants choose one night between Nov.10 and Dec. 31, to “sleep our or in” Participating kids, parents, and grandparents ask others to pledge a donation to the 2018 Sleep Out campaign in honor of their Sleep Out or Bedless Night experience. iocp.org/sleepout
